PayPal integration
by Ephemera Brokers
By linking your PayPal account to your seller profile on TCG Ephemera Brokers, you will be able to get paid immediately after selling one or multiple of your listings. If you do not already have a PayPal business account, you will need to apply for a PayPal business account. Private accounts are not eligible.
Obtaning API credentials
Navigate to your PayPal Developer Dashboard and select the My apps & credentials tab from the menu. (Use the same credentials as your regular PayPal account to access the PayPal Developer Dashboard).
Once on the My apps & credentials tab, make sure that Live mode is selected and click on Create App. Once done, take note of your Live API credentials, namely the Client ID (PayPal Client ID) and Secret (PayPal Client Secret). TCG Ephemera Brokers will use these credentials:
to checkout an order via your PayPal account for your listings when a buyer proceeds to the checkout step,
to check the status of those same orders (whether they were paid or not),
to update PayPal transaction shipment details for your sales on TCG Ephemera Brokers when you add tracking information,
only for the purposes listed above.
When you link the account on your seller settings page, the API credentials will be checked and validated so you do not have to worry whether you got the details right. If you happen to regenerate your Live API Secret, please make sure to also update the PayPal Client Secret on your seller settings page so it matches.
Restrictions
The option for buyers to pay directly to your linked PayPal account will be disabled when TCG Ephemera Brokers needs to collect additional tax on top of the base checkout price, except for sale where the shipping address is located in the United States. You can read more about tax obligations on these pages: US, EU & UK.
Remarks
This feature is reserved for premium sellers.
Only applies if the buyer chooses to pay for the order with PayPal (you can force all the purchases made to your store to be processed by PayPal by selecting PayPal only in the payment methods on your seller settings).
Payouts will be treated as goods and services. You can refer to the official PayPal Merchant fees information for your PayPal account country. Usually fees range from 2.9% to 5.5% of the sale value depending on the buyer and seller PayPal account countries, sales volume, and with a flat fee added on top (0.30 USD or a comparable amount for other currencies).
When you sell one or multiple items and are paid through PayPal, you assume full responsibility for any PayPal disputes in relation to those items, if need be. Protect yourself by following our seller guidelines.
